Boomtown by Nowen N. Particular Rating:   I have to admit that of all the books I have reviewed for Thomas Nelson, Boomtown was the one I was looking forward to the most. I loved the cover design and the cleverness of the authors name. I was intrigued by the story line as well. Holding Fast: The Untold Story of the MOUNT HOOD Tragedy by Karen James Rating: Karen James recounts an honest and vulnerable tragedy in the James family.   The gripping account of her husband, Kelly along with his climbing partners, Brian and Nikko, was fascinating.  I am a fast reader but even so, I finished the book with remarkable speed.  Mrs. James was able to put pieces of the puzzle together of the climbers last days here on earth.   The determination of the climbers even as they faced death in the face was inspiring.  These were not amateur climbers...

Thomas Nelson Publishing is trying a new form of advertising.  They will send you a free copy of a new book in return for a published review on your website as well as amazon.  Apparently this is MUCH cheaper and hopefully more effective means of advertising than typical means.  My first book is in the mail.  Review to come soon.
